“This is a classic Mafia-like shakedown of a foreign leader,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said.
The memo, this does not necessarily mean a “verbatim transcript”, but is based on “notes and reminders”, one of which memorializing the call, shows trump congratulated the newly elected Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on his victory, before Trump finally gets to the subject of the former Vice-President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, looking for a study in any Form.
UKRAINE CALL TRANSCRIPT SHOWS TRUMP WANTED BIDEN PROBE, ASKED, DNC SERVER, BUT NO MENTION OF US AID
While the transcript of Trump’s press shows Ukraine “look in” the three-piece, it shows that the US President explicitly the link, the request to US aid that was frozen days earlier, a detail that fueled charges calls at the beginning of this week, and helped prompt speaker Nancy Pelosi to announce a formal indictment request on Tuesday.
But the ship played down the absence of an explicit quid pro quo, namely, Wednesday is clear, what was the President.
The ship is noted that during the call, trump complains that the relationship between the U.S. and Ukraine always was “mutual”, a comment he after finding, such as “very very good” the USA had in Ukraine. Zelensky went on to discuss, to provide military assistance to certain requests-after Trump started.
Trump initially a “favor” and “find out what happened” with the hack from the DNC server to be asked to do Zelensky, in 2016. He refers to CrowdStrike, a cyber-company used by the DNC for the investigation of the attacks.
Then, Trump went on to help in the investigation of the three-piece.
“The other thing, there is talk of Biden’ s son is much that Biden finished want to the law enforcement and a lot of people to find out about the so what can you do with the attorney-General would be great said,” Trump. “Biden went on to boast that he ended the persecution of so if you are looking into it…It sounds terrible for me.”
This refers to Joe Biden, during the Vice-President urges Ukraine to fire was its top Prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who is the investigation of the natural gas company Burisma Holdings — where Hunter Biden was on the Board. Biden has claimed that the corruption is asked concerns his intervention.
On Wednesday, the ship said, all these ” details “are far more negative than I and others had imagined it all.”
“This is the Ukrainian President, says desperate for military support…[Trump] to him, he has a favor to ask,” he said.
Ship added: “[Trump] announced that the United States has done a lot for Ukraine, but it is not much reciprocity. This is like a mafia boss speaks. “What have you done for us? I have a request I would like to ask you.'”
“Of course, the favor is to investigate his political rivals. For the investigation of the three-piece,” Schiff said, adding that a further “layer” of misconduct was to use the trump attempt by state attorney General Bill Barr and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani as “emissaries” that would be “part and parcel in this one.”
UKRAINE CALL WHISTLEBLOWER SHOWED “POLITICAL BIAS’ FAVORS TRUMP’S” COMPETITION ” – CANDIDATE: MEMO
“The fact that the President calls on the Prosecutor-General sends another message to the Ukraine—that is to not only ask me to, this is only for Giuliani to ask, but this is the government of the United States,” ship said.
The transcript shows Trump said he wanted to speak to the Ukrainian President, with the help of both Barr and Giuliani.
“There is no quid pro quo necessary to betray their country or their oath of office,” the ship continued. “Ukraine understood what the President wanted. He had to do his emissaries so that it was clear, and the Ukraine, what he needed to, if it wanted to, for military aid.”
To say the ship and the other top Committee Chairman, released a statement later: “Let us be clear: no quid-pro-quo is required in order to our country betrayed. Trump asked, to interfere with a foreign government in our elections—that is treason enough.” The Chairman added that you should subpoena the White house and the State Department for a whistleblower complaint, and any other information you miss a Thursday deadline to turn it over.
This attitude suggests Democrats fees will be requested in advance on your charge of “quid pro quo” or not.
The ship is believed to be committees, a key figure in the process, such as Pelosi’s Tuesday decision to trump-focused studies of six distinctive in-house and they’re all “under one roof”, according to a Democratic source.
Pelosi, on Wednesday, was also due to the need for the charges.
“The transcript and the justice is acting in a rogue fashion in complicity in the President’s lawlessness to confirm the need for a law enforcement investigation,” she said in a statement. “Clearly, Congress must act.”
But the White house and Trump ally, denied persistent misconduct, and described the transcript as an accusation.
White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley told Fox News on Wednesday that “there is no quid pro quo, and there is no pressure.”
House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins, R-Ga., also said there was no quid pro quo, and said the Democrats ” jumped to conclusions before looking at the facts.”
“The real danger here is that the Democrats keep up with the baseless allegations in the hopes of crippling a successful presidency,” Collins said in a statement Wednesday.
While the transcript trump asking Zelensky shows Biden to investigate, to show it to Trump explicitly linking U.S. assistance to Ukraine. Administration officials told Fox News on Tuesday, in time, the US had frozen aid to Ukraine, but claimed that it was about corruption relates to and other countries do not pay their fair share.
Meanwhile, Democrats are moving on other fronts as well.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-NY, has asked to contact Barr, aside from a review of the matter.
“The President pulled the attorney General into this mess,” Nadler tweeted. “At least, AG Barr, have to recuse themselves, until we get to the bottom of the thing.”
The justice Department, though, has Biden denied involvement in any investigations or anything else.
“The President has not spoken with the attorney General about the Ukraine to investigate anything in relation to Ex-Vice President Biden or his son,” said Kupec. “The President has not asked to contact the attorney general of Ukraine,—on this or any other matter. The attorney General has not communicated with the Ukraine on this or any other topic. Still, the attorney General discussed this matter, or has everything with Ukraine, with Rudy Giuliani.”
Meanwhile, house Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, D-NY, is the question of why Giuliani was involved in the first place.
“What is the role of Rudolph Giuliani have in this government?”, he asked, during a house Democratic press conference on Wednesday. “Is he in the Department of justice? He is the Secretary of state? He is an Ambassador in the Ukraine or in the European Union?”
