Democrats winning entry in NJ immigration detention center, after a dispute with police officers, the banging literally on the door’

Several democratic members of Congress showed up at an immigration detention facility in New Jersey, where they knocked on the door to gain access.

To hammer seven democratic legislators in the entry in an immigration detention center in New Jersey on Sunday, according to the “argument” with the police and “literally at the door,” one of the members posted on Twitter.

The father’s day episode was the latest in a series of similar trips by the Democratic legislature, in order, the immigration detention facilities, which is part of a broader effort, the attention to the family members who have been separated by Federal authorities while illegally crossing the border from Mexico into the United States.

Before being allowed within the Elizabeth plant on the unannounced visit, Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-NY, said that he was forced to hold open a door on the side.

“We have now opened the door to the Elizabeth, NJ ICE prison and refuses to leave them closed until we have access to the detainees,” he wrote.

Even after he promised access, Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey, and his outrage over safety expressed protocols in the plant.

“Now you ask us to empty the pockets, as we ordinary criminal?” he tweeted. “We are properly elected members of Congress — and we want to access,” he wrote, and added that he was very “patient”.

ICE-website for the New Jersey facility, says visiting hours are only for “friends and family” of detainees, and that all visitors are subject to pat-search down.

“The Congressman arrived unannounced, but the ICE accommodated their request, and they were allowed to visit and meet with several detainees,” ICE told Fox News.

Earlier this month, Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley has been refused entry, in a detention center, he tried to visit in Texas, after the police were called and an officer said to him, “please go.” He and other politicians of the Democratic party have visited successful in other immigrant detention centers.

In a press conference outside the facility, Nadler, apparently reading from prepared remarks, said that “several” of the detained parents he had spoken, inside you had your children “ripped from their arms” and “tears in the eyes when we talked.”

He went on to accuse the President of the trump card of “lying” about why the family was separated.


Nadler met with the facility on Sunday from New Jersey and Pascrell, Frank Pallone and Albio sires, as well as fellow New York Reps. Hakeem Jeffries, Carolyn Maloney, and Adriano Espaillat.

But the authorities initially refused, the group, Jeffries tweeted Sunday, along with a picture, the representative idle, what appeared to be a reception area.

“ICE staff told us to wait five minutes. That was before 50 minutes. @RepJerryNadler @Frank Pallone @RepSires @RepMaloney @RepEspaillat @RepJeffries and I literally hammering on the door to gain access to the prison to see separated families,” wrote Pascrell, in a tweet.

“We are here said to have taken a position against the Trump admin policy, which led to a sharp increase in immigrants fixed and separated families,” Pallone.

Nadler tweeted later on Sunday, “we go now”, such as cameras, the New York Democrat in the device.

Only a few minutes later, he added that the group was temporarily thwarted.


“Now @bill pascrell and I have to fight with the Elizabeth police as we wrote against further delays and still tactics that prevent us from, entering ICE detention center,” Nadler.

Rep. Maloney at one point claimed that the officials were not able to see the “cover the window with paper,” said the representative. She added, “This is America.”

After the officials gave in to the device and the Democratic representatives to access the building, the Reporter had staged after the Congress MPs, apparently, their own, despite the response.

“With Congress-members only allowed to see the inside, the prisoners and the conditions, prison officials now, press to leave and go outside,” Pascrell wrote. “The press and the employee refuses to move.”

The Trump administration, which called it “terrible”, that illegal immigrant children are sometimes separated from their parents when their parents criminal case type was criticized in recent weeks for increasing the proseuctions of illegal immigrants under a “zero-tolerance” policy, which leads, in the opinion of the critics of the detachment.

Children are illegally separated in the United States in the rule of the adults at the border, if the child is in danger, has no clear relationship to the adult or the adult occurs in criminal proceedings.
