The mensenrechtenchef of the United Nations has hard removed to Venezuela. Democracy is dying, said Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, after the presentation of a critical UN report on human rights violations by Venezuelan security forces.
The Venezuelan authorities act for quite some time hard on against demonstrators who want president Nicolas Maduro and his government. The security forces and pro-regeringsgroepen were responsible for the death of at least 73 people since april were killed, concluded UN-researchers.
Mensenrechtencommissaris Zeid said that the democracy in the South American country is gradually worn away. “That should hardly still be alive, if they even exist. That is the way I strive to look”, he said.
