Debate Clinton-Trump ensures kijkcijferrecord
To the first televised debate between U.s. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have Monday in the U.S. 80,9 million people watched.
That is a record for such an election debate, reports CNN.
In the first debate of its kind looked in 1960 to 74 million people to the Democrat John Kennedy and Republican Richard Nixon. That was only twenty years later surpassed by approximately 80.6 million people who go to the Democrat Jimmy Carter and Republican Ronald Reagan looking on.
The husband of Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, withdrew as a Democratic presidential candidate in 1992, nearly 70 million viewers in the debate with Republican George Bush senior.
