Dead and wounded after minibus arrive on moskeegangers London

In the night from Sunday to Monday in the north of London, a car drove down on people who put up a mosque left. One person has died; there are at least ten wounded.

The police got around 00.20 hours (local time) notification of the incident on Seven Sisters Road in the district of Finsbury Park. On Twitter, reported the police that one person has been arrested and speaks of a “large incident”. On photos is a white van.

More than five hours after the first notification are still a lot of police officers present; meanwhile, the London anti-terreureenheid used in the investigation. That made the police around 05.00 hours, officially known.

The British prime minister Theresa May has let us know that the matter is handled as a “potential terrorist attack”.

The 48-year-old man on the spot was arrested, sat in the van. He was first by bystanders restrained and then handed over to the police. The suspect is taken to a hospital. According to the police is not searching for other suspects or occupants of the van, but the investigation is still ongoing.

The fatal victim died at the scene. Eight wounded people were killed by the London ambulance service to three hospitals in the city. Two persons, with minor injuries, were on the street cared. Except for ambulances was also the fire brigade on the spot.
