Dead and multiple injured after driving car on pedestrians in Melbourne

A car is Friday in the Australian city of Melbourne drove into a group of pedestrians. In addition, at least three people to the life, twenty others were injured.

A man has been arrested. The police speaks of intent and let them know that the incident likely is related to an earlier stabbing and is not related to terrorism.

The incident took around 14.00 hours (local time) place in a shopping mall in Bourke Street in the centre of Melbourne. Emergency services are abundant and the area is cordoned off. People are encouraged to come to the area to avoid.
