New York City mayor Bill de Blasio said that moderate Democrats never learned to embrace the “teachings of 2016” call for the party, a bold liberal agenda in the run-up to the 2020 presidential campaign.

De Blasio, who suggested in an interview on Sunday that “moderate voices” in the Democratic party hold back their colleagues.

GROWING NUMBER OF 2020 DEMOCRATS SUPPORT ‘GREEN NEW DEAL’

“There are still a lot of fashion vote rates in the party, not to learn the lessons by 2016 and are not listening to what the people in this country need,” de Blasio told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.” “So I want to tell to push the whole party, and I want this debate in this country about the fact that we go a lot further, we could be much bolder than what we do now.”

De Blasio comments come as the Democrats are already trending, the left of the political proposals and, as recent polling suggests they respond more to the wishes of the Democratic base.

According to a new Gallup study, based on polling data, the percentage of Democrats, liberals identify an average of 51 per cent in 2018. That was up from 50 percent in 2017, but underlines a steady increase over the years. Among Americans overall, conservatives outnumber liberals by 9 points, the 19 points in Gallup’s first survey in 1992.

The study provided further evidence that the democratic party swings to the left, the adoption of positions in the mainstream, the once on the outskirts of the party, the debate—in particular in health care, the economy and immigration.

Last week, de Blasio announced the launch of “the largest, most comprehensive plan in the nation to” guarantee health care for all in the city – including the illegal immigrants.

De Blasio’s announcement last week came after California’s new democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom outlined a similar health agenda for the state, and provides more benefits for illegal immigrants, and protect ObamaCare.

Meanwhile, the new class of freshman democratic legislators, many of offer contains your own liberal proposals.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, has embraced the ‘Medicare for all’, and pitched 70-to Finance percent tax for top earners, which is an expansive “Green New Deal” focuses on the elimination of greenhouse gas emissions from the production and agriculture and to “dramatically” expand energy to meet 100 percent of its energy needs through renewable resources.

The plan also aims, eradication of poverty, in the United States, and contains a job-guarantee program provides a “living wage job to any person you want,” according to a draft of the plan, the circulation to the Congress this month.

This plan received the support of at least eight declared or potential 2020 Democratic candidate: Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif.; Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Cory Booker, D-N. J., Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Jeff Merkley, D-ore.; Obama HUD Secretary Julian Castro; Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii; and former Texas Rep. Beto O’rourke.

Meanwhile, de Blasio said on Sunday he would not rule out running for President in the year 2020.

“I never rule things out because you never know what life brings,” he told CNN. “But I’m focused on the work I do now, and always this message.”
