At the Venice film Festival on Sunday the documentary “David Lynch: The Art Life’ premiered, an intimate portrait about the iconic Twin Peaks-the director. A first glimpse.
‘David Lynch: The Art Life’ gives insight into life and the creative spirit of the iconic Twin Peaks-the director. Lynch, the king of the American kunstcinema, tells about the period and the places him who he is now, as the years that he spent in the small village in Montana – his birthplace – and the tougher life in Philadelphia. “During that time, was my world only a few blocks. A small living space, but at the same time, a big world, because I enjoyed it a great freedom, ” says the director in a first taster.
The documentary – directed by Rick Barnes, Jon Nguyen and Olivia Neergaard-Holm – is dedicated to his youngest daughter Lula Boginia Lynch, who in 2012 was born, the year in which the recordings of this work started.
‘David Lynch: The Art Life’ will premiere on 4 september, during the Venice film Festival.
