Singer David Cassidy has dementia. The 66-year-old former tieneridool talks exclusively to People that he is always vergeetachtiger.
A surprise was the diagnosis not for Cassidy, whose grandfather and mother also dementia. “I denied it, but knew I that I was in for,” says the singer.
The news comes a day after a remarkable and much-debated occurrence of Cassidy. Sunday night he mumbled in lieu of that he sang, he forgot his text and he was wobbly on his legs. Whispered was that the singer, who for many years was addicted to alcohol, was drunk.
Now that he’s becoming more and more health problems, Cassidy decided to stop touring. He wants to focus on his “health and happiness”. “I want to focus on what I am, who I am and who I am, without distractions. I want to love. I want to enjoy life.”
