Dance company Introdans honors choreographer Hans van Manen
Dance company Introdans in Arnhem honors from 21 January choreographer Hans van Manen, who in July 85. In the Gelderland capital, next Saturday, the performance Hooray for Hans in premiere.
The show consists of three choreographies of the master.
“They are there early,” admits Van Manen. The artist is still incredibly busy with anything and everything.
“I’ve just moved. Three months have been busy. I have well a lift.” He reperteert regularly are ballets with The National Ballet, for which he also new work.
“I must wait a while, but that will come.” Provisionally, he is especially the hort. “First to Zurich, for the Swiss premiere of Kammerballett”. And his works bring him to London, Dusseldorf, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, back to Dusseldorf and back to Petersburg and Moscow. “It Is hard work, you know.”
The National Ballet comes in september with a verjaarsgala “but that post I’m not with them”, says Van Manen.
Introdans dances in the HOORAY-program Squares, In and Out, and Black Cake. The ensemble has already more than twenty of Van manen to work on the repertoire. Introdans, that is, emphatically, at a very youthful audience, noted that young viewers by Van manen’s work “, equally fascinated to be” as adults.
