Dafne Schippers prefers training over participation in european CHAMPIONSHIPS indoor
Dafne Schippers runs this winter on the EC, and other indoorwedstrijden. The sprinter opts for additional training efforts in order to fully prepare for the summer season in the open air.

“After a long and intense season in 2016, the team decided to make this year a little more emphasis on exercise, so that I can optimally prepare for the outdoor season there.”
“Unfortunately for the loyal fans, I will not appear at the start of the indoorwedstrijden”, writes the Utrecht. “Hopefully next year again, but for now, hard training for a beautiful outdoor season there.”
“I feel relaxed, strong, and know that I am there in South Africa again always more fun to get. There is no distraction from the outside, and that is very comforting”, explains Schippers.
Schippers is European title holder in the 60 metres. At the european CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015 in Prague, she walked 7,05, at the time, a personal record. A year later the sharpness in Berlin her pr to 7,00. That was also equalled by the Dutch personal best of Nelli Cooman.
Won last year Schippers the silver medal at 60 metres at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS in the Us in Portland.
After the teleurstelld expired Olympic Games last summer in Rio de Janeiro, where Skippers only the silver medal in the 200 metres, she came only in action at the Diamond League in Brussels.
Schippers hopes next summer her world title at the 200 metres of 2015 in Beijing to continue. The world CHAMPIONSHIPS are in August in London.
