Czechs are not waiting for Schindler-museum
The foundation Shoah and Oskar Schindler Memorial Endowment tries of the factory from Schindler’s List a museum to honor the memory of Schindler and the Jews he saved.
Until now the European Union, to Jewish organizations and especially the Czech government, however, is not at home, writes The Guardian.
Money is a problem. For a renovation, if only in the short term, a 5 million euro is needed. But a much greater factor of importance is that the Czechs are not determined to run away with Oskar Schindler.
They consider him rather as a spy for the Germans and a member of the nazi party. The film of Spielberg, is seen as a fabricated legend. A decision, how necessary, is for the time being not discussed, says The Guardian.
The plant was 22 years ago, made famous by Schindler’s List by Steven Spielberg. In the property brought to Oskar Schindler in 1944, the 1,200 Jews that he saved from the nazis.
