From Saturday 30 september until Thursday, 31 October, the city of Antwerp in collaboration with passionate horecaondernemers the third edition of the culinary festival ‘Smaakmeesters’.
Nearly a hundred Antwerp bars, restaurants and specialty shops scattered throughout the historic centre, the Island, and the South put itself in a month in the spotlight. Who likes the better to eat, so a month long visit in both large and small businesses, both startups as well as established values. They are then specially selected Smaakmeesterssuggesties tasting dishes and drinks that the story of the craftsmanship of the Antwerp Smaakmeesters tell.
In addition, anyone who is interested in the culinary past and present of Antwerp, every Saturday and every Sunday in October for a walk with high fijnproeversgehalte, together with Culinary Walks VZW. Or you can in the Museum Aan de Stroom (MAS) visit the exhibition ‘Antwerp à la carte’, providing you with a voucher in the brochure of Smaakmeesters free can visit.
Five well-known horecaondernemers stand again as an ambassador behind the culinary festival ‘Smaakmeesters’: Naushad Rahamat (Cocktails at Nine), Ingrid Neven (Pazzo), Johan Segers (Stove), Ronald Ferket (Vagant) and Sepideh Sedaghatnia (Divin by Sepi).
Visitors can this year take advantage of a loyalty card in the Smaakmeesterbrochure. By Smaakmeesters to visit and things to taste, you can collecting stickers and with a full card of six stickers, you can register online for a chance to win one of almost 100 waardebons, one at each Smaakmeester.
