Cuba export for the first time in fifty years to US
Cuba is going to coal export to the United States. It is the first time that Cuba and the U.S. trading after more than fifty years.
The first delivery is scheduled on 18 January, two days before Donald Trump takes office as president. Trump has announced that he is the rapprochement between the two countries “want to negotiate”.
There is still a hambelsembargo from the US against Cuba. President Obama has a number of arrangements making a careful start can be made with the trade between the two countries.
Staatsexporteur Cubaexport hopes on a quick further normalisation of the relationship so that also other products like honey and tea to America.
Cuba exports annually about 80,000 tons of coal, and trying to this product also to export to other western countries such as Germany and Great Britain.
