Crystal Palace confirm arrival of Ajax defender Riedewald

Crystal Palace has Monday the transfer of Jairo Riedewald completed. The club manager Frank de Boer will pay to the reportedly nine million euros for the defender of Ajax.
The triple international of Orange signs a contract for five years at the London club. He is the second acquisition for The Farmer. Earlier this month was midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek of Chelsea hired.
The transfer of Riedewald was already more than a week in the air. The selection of Crystal Palace, and returned Monday back from a training camp in hong Kong.
The 20-year-old Riedewald played since his debut in 2013, 63 matches played for Ajax. Last season he lost under coach Peter Bosz his basic.

Riedewald says on the website of his new club are looking forward to the Premier League. “It is a beautiful league to play for and it’s also a nice opportunity to get back to The Farmer to be able to work together.”
The coach is very satisfied that the linksbenige defender at his new club has connected. “He is a great reinforcement for our team. Jairo is young, but already has a lot of experience.”
After Davy Klaassen (Everton), Diederik Boer (PEC Zwolle), Bertrand Traoré and Kenny Tete (both Olympique Lyon) is Riedewald the fifth player from the A-team this summer, starts at Ajax. There is provisionally only the arrival of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04) and goalkeeper Benjamin van Leer (Roda JC).
