Crowdfunding platform Indiegogo doesn’t allow antivaccinatiepropaganda

The American crowdfunding platform Indiegogo doesn’t allow collections which called for children not to be vaccinated, the platform to BuzzFeed to let you know. Also other projects in which claims about health without scientific basis be done, will be banned.

It is unclear when the new policy of Indiegogo. A spokesperson was in conversation with BuzzFeed still no concrete date mention.

In march it became known that the American crowdfunding platform GoFundMe also stop accepting collections which antivaccinatiepropaganda is distributed. The so-called anti-vaxxers have in four years time through the site of 170,000 u.s. dollars (over 152.000 euro) picked up, reported The Daily Beast at the time.

Anti-vaxxers have recently via Indiegogo more than 86.500 dollar raised for the film Vaxxed II: The People’s Truth. Therein, the scientifically unfounded assertion that vaccinations autism causing.

The creators of Vaxxed II get it via Indiegogo money raised yet, but future projects of the same kind of message to spread, to be of the platform are excluded as soon as the new policy is in force.

Worldwide, the number of measles cases in the first quarter of 2019 quadrupled compared to a year ago. With a vaccination, people can be protected against measles.
