LITTLE ROCK, arkansas. – The Catholic Diocese of Little Rock has a list of 12 priests who commands at a particular point in Arkansas who have had “credible” allegations of sexual abuse of minors.
Bishop Anthony B. Taylor said that the list released Monday were preliminary and the result of an internal review in the wake of a stunning grand jury report on sexual abuse of children by clergy in Pennsylvania. He says that the list will be updated after an independent review of the files by an external consultancy.
The diocese named eight priests against whom credible allegations have been substantiated, and four about whom it has received unsubstantiated thought credible allegations. The diocese says that it is offered or is offering help to their known victims.
