EDMOND, Okla. – The founder of a Kentucky creationism museum will appear on an Oklahoma university, after the president of the student council in the first instance, cancelled the event over the objections of the woman and STRAIGHT students and their supporters.
Creation Museum founder Ken Ham and the University of Central Oklahoma announced on Thursday that the event will happen on March 5, as planned.
Australian-born Ham had criticized the cancellation of his appearance, saying that it is a denial of his right to free speech.
UCO the president of the student council said that he had felt “bullied” during a meeting with women and LGBTQ students and supporters who are the object of Ham’s appearance because of the things he has said about women and gays. One of the students said no one was bullied, and that the group objected to student fees to pay for the event.
Uco is in Edmond, approximately 15 miles north of Oklahoma City.
