A Federal court on Thursday struck the trump administration keep appeal transgender recruits of the participation of the US military in January – only 11 days before the policy was set, in order to be effective.

A three-judge panel on the 4. U.S. appeals court in Virginia decided not to grant the White house a delay, so that transgender recruits in the military. The administration argues that there is still no processes in place to screen and accept such recruits.

The Pentagon said last week that the registration of the transgender recruits to start in January in spite of the legal battles. The Ministry of justice said it is in agreement with the judgment on Thursday and is considering further steps.

The government went to the court of appeal after a U.S. district judge in Baltimore has held the proposed ban in November. The order on Thursday of President Donald Trump with no other choice to leave, to appeal the decision to the Supreme court.

Trump announced the ban in July, saying that the Federal government “to accept or allow, to serve transgender people, the in any capacity to the U.S. military” – a reversal 2016 policy under President Barack Obama.

The President later formally, the Pentagon initiated to extend indefinitely the ban on transgender people in the military, what’s to come, the Minister of defense of Jim Mattis six months to come up with a plan for dealing with the already in service.

The proposed ban has sparked several legal challenges led by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on behalf of six current transgender members of the military.

The ACLU celebrated the latest court decision, said in a statement: “We are happy that the court saw through the government’s smoke screen and refused his request to further delay the Directive to win so that transgender persons.

“The military already has a comprehensive guide to the preparation of the 1. January start date, and the government, it is also a credible failed to stick to the reason why transgender people should be locked up, recruitment, if they comply with the same strict standards as all the others.”
