Costs restoration Golden Carriage may be 1.2 million euro
The cost of the restoration of the Golden Coach are provisionally estimated at 1.2 million euros.
According to equerry Bert Wassenaar, the amount Wednesday afternoon called during a press briefing on budget day, it is a first estimate, partly based on the costs that have been previously created for the restoration of the Glass Carriage.
The Golden Coach is in the last year dismantled and the various parts – cabinet, bok, upholstery and the like – are separately studied. In the following phase should quotations be requested for the restoration. For the restoration of the last year, completed the Glass in the Carriage was seven years.
King Willem-Alexander will pay for the restoration out of its own budget. Minister-president Mark Rutte wanted the Second Room earlier this year not tell you how much the renovation would cost.
The Glass Carriage replaces Tuesday during budget day, the Golden Carriage.
