Cops: Duo beat, tied up man, then took marijuana

MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police have charged two New Jersey men say they struck a Millsboro-area man with a rake, tied him up and stole his marijuana.

Police say a homeowner who found his 23-year-old tenant is tied up in the garage Wednesday and called the police. The man told the police that two men showed up with rakes and offered to clean up his leaves. After he refused to be a man to him with a rake, threw him to the ground. The police says the duo dragged the man to the garage and tied his hands and feet.

As soon as they found the man’s marijuana, they drove away.

Officers stopped the car and the police say that they arrested 20-year-old Miguel Velasquez, and the 21-year-old Has Mautes. Both are from Edison, New Jersey. They are charged with theft, violence, burglary and other violations.
