Convicted sex offender arrested for alleged possession of child pornography

A convicted sex offender was arrested in Arkansas last week for allegedly possessing child pornography, police said.

Joshua Glen Box, 35, of Fayetteville, was indicted by a federal grand jury on June 5, on “four counts of receipt of material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor with the victim under the age of 12,” KFSM reported. He was booked into the Washington County Jail on 7 June.

In May, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office a message published on the Facebook page to inform the general public that Box, a Level 2 sex offender, had moved to the area. He was not wanted by the police at that time.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office published a communication in which the citizens are informed that Joshua Glen Box, move to the area.

In August 2015, Box, was sentenced for possession of child pornography. He owned thousands of pictures and videos of minors either nude or to engage in explicit activity, according to police. He was in a “classification-level”, that meant that he could offend again, authorities said

Box allegedly told authorities he had the downloading of child pornographic images since he was 15 years old, KSFM reported.
