Constantine Huygens-prize for writer Atte Jongstra
Author Atte Jongstra, the Constantijn Huygens prize awarded. He was awarded the prize for his entire oeuvre, the Jan Campert-Stichting Monday known. The foundation awards the literary prizes of the municipality of The Hague.
Atte Jongstra (1956) during his thirty years as a writer a colorful oeuvre with the love for records, dictionary records, and encyclopedias is constant, the jury finds.
“In each of his books hits the the reader time and time again how he quotes, references, and fiction knows to bring together in an artful, entertaining, and often contrary work of the imagination.”
At the Constantijn Huygens prize is an amount of 10,000 euros. Previously won, among others, Adriaan van Dis (2015), Mensje van Keulen (2014) and Tom Lanoye (2013) the price. The award ceremony is on 22 January in The Hague.
