A Connecticut father and his aunt were arrested on Wednesday after police said the two-year-old boy was found on a roof of a house.
The Ansonia Police Department said its officers were called to a home at approximately 8:50 a.m. for a report of a toddler playing on the roof.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found the child about 30 feet above the ground.

An officer was able to catch up with the kid and get him to move around the roof, with a sergeant and another officer forced entry into the house to get the toddler out of the window, according to a press release posted on the Ansonia-the Police department Facebook page.
The child’s father, 23-year-old David Hustek, and the woman, and the 20-year-old Sarah Barker, was in the house at the time. The police said that she claimed to have been asleep not to know that he was on the roof.

The police said that the toddler is not injured, but was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
The department said the home was in “deplorable” condition, and was convicted after the city’s building officials were contacted. Ansonia is located approximately 12 km north-west of New zealand.

Hustek, and Baker were both charged with risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangering. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
