Since a year or twenty-five, I’ll be happy and a lot to pop – and rock concerts. Sometimes we are in the tens of thousands, sometimes ten without thousands. Sometimes it is stoneware, sometimes appallingly bad. Complain do we never, our love for guitars is unconditional. Beer drinking, fist in the air and go.

In all those years, much has changed. The tickets were more expensive, earplugs were socially acceptable, and gradually is even a rectal fouillebij entering the concert hall commonplace, under the guise of safety über alles.

According to my (undoubtedly schabouwelijke) calculations I have already about 500 times a show is a gift. Not once have I subsequently purchased a ticket to one of those 500 bands at a different time as a full-fledged program to see the work. Never has there me but one band as a support act in convincing them as a full-fledged act to consider. Since such a support act, however, is selected on the basis of a certain affinity with the band of the main program (which I 500 times, each time carefully and deliberately to have chosen), is that still very few.

After so many disappointments, I am gradually inclined to say: oh, just stop it. Buy they just all off, that first. But look, I’m bring the worst. I realize also that such a tour as the opening act of a larger valve may be an unforgettable experience and a priceless learning experience. I am also aware of the fact that the number of stages in which smaller bands are able to show the last few years, not given is increased. Let me, therefore, a better proposal…

On a festival, for example.
