Community service for darter Co Stompé and wife for tax fraud
Darter Co Stompé and his wife have been sentenced to applicable, work penalties of, respectively, 150 and 190 hours of community service due to fraud.
The court in Almelo considered forgery and the intentional submission of incorrect declarations for the sales and income tax over the years 2009 to 2013 proven. The couple from Lelystad, the netherlands also received a conditional prison sentence of three months imposed. There was 240 hours of community service required.
The 54-year-old Stompé did in addition to his darttoernooien also involved in television appearances and demonstrations. His 48-year-old woman had arranged everything and was responsible for the administration. When the declarations for the taxes she gave each a too low amount of taxable income and revenue. The estimated disadvantage for the State is more than 100,000 euro.
According to their lawyer, there was no question of evil intent, but knew the woman is not enough of accounting. But the court found that she had been able to know that the declarations were incorrect, and that they are aware of no expert verification. Co Stompé had this can and should know and is, according to the judge responsible.
