FBI Director James Comey hates the New England Patriots, he confirmed on Monday – not to illustrate, but only to a point about Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign.
During a lengthy House intelligence committee hearing in Washington, Comey football used as a metaphor to explain Russia’s approach to the two major party nominees in the 2016 US election.
“I hate the New England Patriots, and no matter who you play, I would like to you said to lose,” said Comey.
He explained how Russia is Hillary considered to be Clinton’s candidacy. You had a “hatred” for you all, and wanted to win Donald Trump, but the focus was mostly on trying to “hurt, no matter what.”
Comey later, his views clarified about the patriots, saying: “you represent sustained excellence, and as a giants fan, that makes me crazy.”
