Comey defended the FBI attorney assigned to that suggests he was ‘attacked by partisans’

The former FBI Director, James Comey defended the Bureau is assigned to recently, top lawyer, and suggested that the move was political.

“Unfortunately, we are now at a point in our political life, when someone can be attacked for partisan gain,” Comey on Friday evening.

Comey, who was fired by President Trump earlier this year, tweeted, “James Baker, the reinforced down, as the FBI’s General Counsel, serves our country incredibly well for 25 years, and deserves better. He is what we all want to be our officials.”

Baker was in the middle of several new messages.

The Washington Post reported this week that Baker, who has served as the FBI’s general counsel, was leaving his role, and was assigned to the office.

The newspaper reported that Baker “was caught in a strange place between the dispute led to a leakage of the probe and attracted the attention of senior lawmakers,” but the issue “had not played a part in Baker’s rezoning.”

On Friday night, the website Politico in a story published say the house Republicans were interested in Baker’s contacts with a liberal reporter from mother Jones in the weeks before the election in 2016.

That reporter, David Corn, was first to report the existence of a salacious dossier contains a set of unaudited statements about trump, the connections with Russia.

Corn denied Baker was his source for the story.

But he replied to Comey’s tweet to defend the Baker, he said: “Jim has lost hours of sleep to work, this country to protect-and that means that you & your family. He deserves our gratitude.”

Baker’s reassignment comes as other top officials of the law enforcement authorities, have been removed from jobs in the midst of Special Counsel Robert Müller Russia investigation.

A Miller aide, Peter Strzok, a former FBI official who was removed from the special counsel investigation after a series of anti-Trump texts were discovered on his cell phone.

Fox News also reported this month that Bruce’s ear, a senior justice Ministry official, was demoted amid questions about his contacts with the opposition research firm responsible for the anti-Trump-dossier.

Meanwhile, congressional investigators say, Fox News, the Republican majority staff of the House Intelligence Committee, the planning Problem of fresh cargoes in the next week on the justice Department and FBI employees, including the may ear and bakers.
