nearvideo Goodwin trump: your lease on the Oval Office was renewed. Time to make the best of it
After the release of the Mueller report, the New York Post columnist and Fox News author Michael Goodwin argues, to ignore that it is time for the President, the Democrats and focus on the policy.
Since both the President as well as legislators on both sides of the aisle with the Miller investigation, the New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin argues on Monday that Trump will see it as a gift and the opportunity to renew his lease on the Oval Office.
During an appearance on “America’s highlighted in the Newsroom,” Goodwin, that, although the President is clearly “mad about the tone and content” of the Müller report, it was time to accept that it’s over and focus on the politics of the country moves closer to the 2020 presidential election.
“The President should see this as a gift, and see it as, my lease was extended in the Oval Office,’ and I think he needs to make the best of it,” the Fox News contributor, said.
Goodwin also noted what he refers to as the “round quality” of the Mueller report, on their trust on information from publications such as the “New York Times” and “Washington Post”, which is the basis of the allegations, which have contributed to the investigation.

He also argued that the actions of many, the investigators should, during the entire duration of the probe, including Muller himself, is also the subject of an investigation.
“No President has ever said about this,” Goodwin said, adding that he was “not to blame” the President for continuing to tweet about the investigation and their effects.
A number of house Democrats back to the discussion on charges in the days following the publication of an edited version of the report, and Goodwin House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said allegedly organised a private call with other house Democrats on Monday afternoon about the possibility of the impeachment of President Trump.

Ultimately, Goodwin said he believes that Pelosi is also looking past impeachment and want the focus on the overall picture of the election in 2020, for the 19 Democrats now have with the President.
The question the Democrats need to argue questions, Goodwin, is simple: “The Mueller report confirms some of the disgusting behavior, but do what we need to show that we can do better, that we can govern?”
