A Colorado woman who allegedly killed her newborn baby and threw it into her neighbor’s deck in January was charged with the murder on Tuesday.
Camille Wasinger-Konrad, 23, appeared at a preliminary hearing and said they did not know that she was pregnant, until the birth of the morning of Jan. 2, according to FOX31 Denver. It Later turned out, however, that Wasinger-Konrad had asked for a new work plan because of the pregnancy, a co-worker told detectives.
Jeanette Barich was the first to call the police after the discovery of the dead baby in her backyard porch in Castle Rock.
Detectives arrived on the scene and discovered Wasinger-Konrad in the neighboring house, they had the rent of a family of about four months. Wasinger-Konrad sat in the bedroom on the upper floor and agreed to talk to Douglas County Det. Adam Moorman, but said they did not know what he was investigating, according to FOX31 Denver.

When asked whether her DNA matches the dead baby found next to the door, Wasinger-Konrad answered, “the thing is, I don’t want to get in trouble.”
Wasinger-Konrad told the officer she woke up that morning with stomach cramps and “the baby just came out.” She said that once the baby is born, and she covered the newborn baby’s mouth to prevent the landlord’s family of the hearing of the baby starts to cry. The family slept in the house at the time.
The woman sat on the deck with the baby in a blanket for about 10 minutes before he the body, over the neighbors of the 9-foot fence, police said.
“I just got rid of it,” Wasinger-Konrad said the detective.
The baby’s body hit a railing and the back of a chair before landing on Barich deck, the station reported.

The landlord told detectives she cleaned the blood in the bathroom upstairs, but didn’t know Wasinger-Konrad was pregnant. A bloody shower curtain was also found in the neighbor’s trash can, police said.
Wasinger-Konrad, was charged with first-degree murder-victim under 12/position of trust, in the first-degree murder-after deliberation and tampering with evidence.
