A Colorado man with a distinctive tattoo on many of his bald head is arrested after police said he was a person of interest in a deadly shooting.
Mark Peters, 46, was being sought in Friday’s killing of a woman he knew, in a house in Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Gazette reported.
The police had appealed to the public for information on Peters’ whereabouts, saying: he may be riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The paper reported Sunday that Peters was arrested around midnight Friday on suspicion of stalking and violation of protection orders. He was not charged in connection with the murder.
A man who said he was the wife of the father told the newspaper that his daughter was murdered as a result of domestic violence.
“The mother, daughter and son of multiple calls to the police about someone sitting on a motorcycle in the vicinity of the house,” said the man, according to the paper. “They (the police) do not do their job.”
The paper reported on the search for a response of a police spokesman who declined to comment, citing the active investigation.
