Colorado bank robber was arrested after throwing money around in a circle shouting ‘Merry Christmas’

A suspected bank robber in Colorado, apparently, wanted to spread some Christmas joy before he was arrested on Monday.

Witnesses say they saw a man throw money out of a bag on a street in new orleans, and while the shouts of “Merry Christmas, KKTV reported.

The bizarre incident happened just after a branch of the Academy in a Bank, in the vicinity of the intersection of East Pikes Peak Avenue and South Tejon Street was robbed at about 12:30 a.m., police said in an incident report.

She described the robber, later identified as 65-year-old David Wayne Oliver, as an “older white guy” who threatened to use a weapon and left the bank with an “undisclosed amount of money.”

The police found the defendant sitting in front of a coffee shop, and arrested him without incident.

Onlookers collected the money and returned it to the bank, go to the train station.
