In the aftermath of the presidential elections, more AMERICAN students are thinking about going to school in Canada.

Universities from Quebec and British Columbia say applications and website from the US has increased tremendously since Donald Trump’s victory. At the University of Toronto, uses up to 70 percent compared with this time last year, and the web traffic has increased more than twelvefold.

Among those who are planning to study in Canada is the 17-year-old Lara Godoff of Napa, California, who is worried that Trump’s administration will ease enforcement of rules against sexual violence on campus.

Many Canadian universities had already been ramping up recruiting in the U.S., but a credit of the election, with an extra ‘boost’ in the question.
