Lanny Davis: Michael Cohen ‘ s crime is the trump card-the crime

On “America’s Newsroom,’ attorney Michael Cohen says that there is ‘no question’ that President Trump committed a Federal crime through the management and coordination of the hush-money payments from its customers.

Michael Cohen lawyer Lanny Davis on Wednesday promoted erroneously that a non-existent website, where he said the supporters donations could not remain his customer’s legal Fund, but the page dormant for a long time.

Now President of the Trump campaigns-website contributing encourages visitors to re-elect the president and “Make America Great Again.”

“I know that if [Cohen’s] retained me as recently as yesterday, he is obliged to tell the truth, and we even have a website by the name of ‘truth’, called,” Davis Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom, said,” on Wednesday. “And he is looking for help from people who want to, to donate, to help him tell the truth.”

Davis repeated the incorrect website address later in the interview saying that Cohen “has a lot to go through, has suffered from his family, he is in financial difficulties — we have a Gofundme Website called and we hope that the people who will want to tell him the truth about Donald Trump will contribute to on-the-spot.”

The website was inactive at the time of Davis’ comment early Wednesday, but was grabbed quickly. Publicly available information about the domain name registration to the owner of the website is hidden through a proxy service, but shows that the URL was purchased on Wednesday.

Visitors to the site advertised by Michael Cohen ‘ s lawyers instead redirected.

A trump campaign official denied involvement in a statement to Fox News, say, someone could mention the non-existing address, Davis bought and redirected to Outdo it home for as little as $7.

Davis seems to serve a slightly different website address, starting in the late afternoon, left on a Gofundme page that raised more than $50,000 for Cohen of the $500,000 goal.

“Michael has decided to take his family and his country first,” the Gofundme page says. “Michael now needs your financial help to pay his attorney’s fees. The Michael Cohen truth Fund is a transparent trust account to help with all of the donations will go, Michael Cohen and his family, as he goes to the front to say on his journey, the truth about Donald Trump.”

Cohen is the latest in a series of former Trump administration insiders have resorted to fundraising in the midst of established growing legal problems, including the FBI-Deputy-Director Andy McCabe and agent Peter Strzok, both fired after internal checks, that they had a policy against the Agency.

News had reached Cohen, a deal with federal prosecutors in which he is involved is the trump card in the possible campaign Finance violations, has shaken Washington, DC on Tuesday. Cohen, as part of a guilty plea agreement, said that he had made, illegal the great silence-money contributions in the direction of candidates for Federal office, raising the possibility that Trump was right to Finance conspired to break campaign.

For his part, trump Cohen’s has played down a plea, namely, in a series of tweets, the campaign-Finance laws are rarely prosecuted on the criminal level, and are often treated as civil matters, unless the policy involved.

“Michael Cohen guilty to two counts of campaign Finance violations, which is not a crime,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. “President Obama had a great campaign Finance violation, and it was easy!”

This was an obvious reference to a nearly 400,000 US dollars to a monetary penalty issued in 2013 by the Federal Election Commission against the Obama 2008 presidential campaign for a whole range of offences.

Trump also wrote: “If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suspect you don’ T retain the services of Michael Cohen!”

Davis, a longtime democratic operative who had served as special counsel to former President Bill Clinton, was mum on whether Cohen had no knowledge of an alleged criminal collusion between Trump officials and the Russian government.

“I’m not going to answer questions until Mr. Miller is finished said with his investigation,” Davis, referring to Special Counsel Robert Müller. Davis added that there is “no question” of Trump, had a federal campaign finance violation, and suggested that it would be legally permissible for prosecutors to indict the President.
