Coast guard to investigate threat claims on the port of Charleston

MOUNT PLEASANT, S. C. – coast guard officials say a terminal at the Port of Charleston in South Carolina is evacuated because of a claim about a threat on board of a ship.

Coast guard Sector Charleston commander Capt. Greg Stump tells WCIV-TV that employees were evacuated Wednesday night and a part of the Cooper River is closed.

Blunt says a YouTube conspiracy theorist notification of a suspicion of a threat on board of a container ship in the port. He says authorities investigate careful.

The commander says that the threat is more of the vessel than the safety of the public. No further data were available.
