Cleveland officer killed in a car accident, remembered in Police-Week-video

Cleveland police officer David Fahey was remembered in a special video during the National Police Memorial Week.

Fahey, 39, responding to a crash on Interstate 90 in Cleveland on Jan. 24. He was hit by a car and died from his injuries. The driver was later arrested.

The video documents Fahey’s time with the Cleveland Police Department, as well as his funeral. It also includes the sending of the last call for Officer Fahey and a moment of silence of silence on the police radio traffic.

“Officer Fahey, thank you for your service. God speed, sir… Officer Fahey, do you have permission to report off duty,” dispatcher Lisa Carbone said on the recording.
