Chuck Lorre is working on mini-series of the Bonfire of the Vanities
Chuck Lorre, the man behind the popular comedyseries Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, together with Amazon a mini-series that is based on the best-seller Bonfire of the Vanities.
That reports The Hollywood Reporter Friday. Lorre will executive producer act, and Margaret Nagle (Boardwalk Empire) is writing the script of the eight-part series.
In 1990, there was already a film adaptation of the novel, which was written by Tom Wolfe. The story revolves around a successful stockbroker who gets into trouble in an incident in The Bronx in New York.
In the film, directed by Brian De Palma, played more Tom Hanks and Bruce Willis in the lead roles. It is not yet known who the characters in the miniseries will play.
