‘Chipgigant Qualcomm wants Dutch NXP detect
The chipgigant Qualcomm is in talks with the Dutch NXP, about a possible acquisition.
That reports The Wall Street Journal. The overnamedeal would be within two to three months and can be closed, said the sources.
NXP would be after an acquisition by Qualcomm, a value of 30 billion dollars (about 27 billion euro). On Thursday, the company had a market value of $ 28 billion.
It is still unclear what Qualcomm for the acquisition would want to pay. The sale would be in the next two to three months may occur.
NXP is a former chipdivisie of Philips, which parts makes for several technology companies.
