Chip and Joanna Gaines said their farewell to ‘Fixer Upper’ during the hit HGTV show the last episode, viewers have to thank for their support and even memories about Chip and Joanna’s first date, which included a magnolia tree.
“Fixer Upper” fans will literally be able to enjoy a cup of “Jo” (plus Chip) thanks to the Gaines’ latest enterprise: a cafe in the heart of their Magnolia empire.
In recent days, reps for the Waco, Texas, the power couple have confirmed that the former HGTV star will soon be “breaking ground” on a java shop, conveniently located just a block away from their Magnolia Market on the Silos.

“I can confirm that we are breaking ground on our latest project, a coffee shop, early next month — our tentative plan is to open the end of the year,” Magnolia spokesman John Marsicano dished to People on Feb. 19. “An official name for the coffee shop is not yet known, but we are happy to share more details in the coming weeks!”
Located at 418 S. Eighth Street, the yet-unnamed café will feature a well-stocked bar of the coffee, the different types of tea, and a variety of fresh baked pastries, in addition to a to-go window and seating both in and outside of the door, the Waco Tribune-Herald reports.

Not only is the coffee-shop is a logical complement to the Gaines’ Magnolia omnibrand – more than 30,000 fans be said that a visit to the white-hot Magnolia Market every week – but the new project is probably near and dear to Joanna’s own heart. The busy mother of five and entrepreneur, has long vocalized her love for the magical java drink.
“I’ve always liked to drink coffee with me, and I drink when I need a little bit of extra energy”, the 40-year-old said, as per Country.
Fans of the hit home renovation and design show, will also remember Joanna often floating through the construction of spaces and to the feed by means of meetings with her signature cup of joe in hand.
