China blocks all long time, a number of foreign websites, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Through a VPN to activate, Chinese internet users this blockage bypass. The Chinese government wants to counter this by the use of VPN’s to make it impossible.

The initiative focuses on VPNS used by ordinary internet users. Companies and educational institutions may still take a VPN to bet, if this government is registered.

Dark days

China expert Kaiser Kuo, who until last year worked as head of communication at the Chinese internet company Baidu, denounces the amendment on Facebook. He thinks that Chinese VPN users the blockade is not going to accept.

“The number of people in China use is very small, but very noisy”, he writes. “There are dark days.”
