BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Union should not forget China’s ” National Intelligence Law, which requires Chinese citizens for the support of the state for the collection of information, such as the rest of the rules for the super-fast mobile network, a senior EU official said on Friday.
EU governments are debating ways to protect the next generation of mobile networks, for all possible Chinese intervention, would be an AMERICAN, ask them to shun, and China’s Huawei [HWT.UL], and the growing Sino-European business ties.
Julian King, the european commissioner in charge of security, said of the laws in the countries in which the supply of the future technology of 5G networks that will be part of the discussion for the eu Commission’s formal proposals later in the year.
“When we think about the general safety of goods and supplies from a variety of sources, we may think of their legal status,” he told a news conference.
“In China they have a national intelligence law, which represents the global requirements of organizations, to support and to cooperate with national intelligence, and it is to be a special legal regulatory frameworks that are relevant,” he said.
Huawei, the world’s biggest maker of telecom-network equipment, and that is the 5G acceleration, is considered to be more powerful and cheaper than its European competitors, eager to please, not to be limited to the EU, its largest foreign market.
Huawei says that it will support the EU’s efforts to establish standards for 5G.
However, Catherine Chen,, with a, Huawei’s senior vice president, told reporters in Brussels on Thursday, that it was wrong to give a company’s “nationality,” and that’s a lot of Huawei’s share of them came from Europe.
She said that she was in Europe, Huawei has signed 28 contracts to offer the 5G, which is set to be the link to all of the vehicles, and factories, at a much higher rate of speed.
NOT A ‘CHINA ‘ OBSESSION’
The Chinese government denied any intent to spy on the West, and it has been said that a ban on the Chinese 5 g of the suppliers in the United States of america and Australia, is just fine.
However, according to an internal European Commission document, reviewed by Reuters, in January, China’s National Intelligence Act provides that, in the Chinese organizations and citizens shall, in accordance with the law, to support, to collaborate and to work together in the national intelligence service act.”
Britain’s National Security Council discussed the issue in April, and a decision to block Huawei from all of the critical components of the 5G network, but access will be limited to less sensitive areas. The final decision is still pending.
The king, who said he had a meeting with the chinese Ambassador to the european union, Zhang Ming, said that there was no intention to Ascend, because it was in Chinese.
“As the Chinese ambassador to come and talk to me about it, I have to say,” Well, actually, it’s not because we have an obsession in China, and we are trying to develop a risk assessment in this market, and if you have suppliers who have suppliers, then they are going to be in the conversation.”
