Looks like Apple has gotten caught in the roots of California.
The Silicon Valley tech giant’s flagship store in Chicago, which opened in October, was designed with a range of architectural bells and whistles — except, perhaps, paying more attention to the harsh winter reality of the Windy City.

The building’s tight rooftop is now considered to be a danger to the public, with sharp icicles to form above a terrace where people walk, the San Francisco Chronicle. Large parts of the plaza were covered with yellow tape Friday — and signs reading, “caution: Watch out for Falling Snow and Ice.”
An Apple spokesman told the Chicago Tribune that the warming system built into the roof “needed some fine-tuning,” in which he said Friday.
“It is hopefully a temporary problem,” Nick Leahy added.
