Dan Harmon, the creator of the TV series “the Community”, claims Chevy Chase would make racist jokes aimed at Donald Glover during the filming of the show.
In an interview with The New Yorker, Harmon alleged Chase would be the comments in an attempt to throw Glover off during the filming of the NBC comedy.
“Chevy [Chase] was the first to realize how immensely talented Donald was, and the way in which he spoke of his jealousy was to try to throw Donald out of,” Harmon said. “I remember, apologies to Donald, after a particularly rough night from the Chevy’s non-P. C. verbiage, and Donald said,” I don’t even worry about it.'”

Glover told The New Yorker, he thought that Chase was “thrashing in the water.”
“I just saw Chevy as fight time—a real artist to be O. K. with his government is not over. I can’t help him if he is thrashing in the water,” Glover said. “But I know that there is a man in there somewhere — he is almost human.”

Glover, a talented singer who was recently nominated for five grammy’s, has also won two emmy’s and Golden Globes, each for his work on “Atlanta.” Glover created the show and serves as writer, director and actor on the hit FX comedy drama.
Chase and Glover worked together on the “Community” for four seasons to Glover announced that he would not return as a main character for the fifth season. Chase left the show after the fourth season. The “Saturday Night Live” alum had a very infamous feud with Harmon, before he decided to get out of the show, Deadline reported. Chase was reportedly upset several times with the leadership and the working hours.
Harmon recently made headlines in January after he was accused of sexual misconduct by a former employee. Megan Ganz, a comedy writer who worked on “the Community,” claimed Harmon came to her when they are together. Harmon recognized the harassment and apologized, Vanity Fair reported.
