Grain market 13-chef Seppe Nobels is launching this week its new concept Rootz. Together with housefestival Dystopia he takes on the notorious clubs to the guests to be pampered with music and gastronomy.
Rootz, this is an intimate evening in which promising chefs back to back with the best djs of the moment. The premiere is scheduled on 16 February, in the Antwerp club Amps. There was already a steaming Valentijnsfeest on the agenda, but it now seems that that extra loving will be. The Berlin DJ Claptone will be there for a party of a maximum of one hundred participants will cross swords with Seppe Nobels.
That last look already with a huge hunger for the baptism of fire. ‘The mysterious and masked Claptone is the perfect dj to Rootz to the world,” says Willis. His ambitions with Rootz are large: the goal is to use the international musical connection the Belgian kitchen further on the world map. “It is high time that they from America to Asia to know that we in addition to French fries and chocolate, and also the country of the bioboeren, rock-solid Flemish fruit and Elixir D’anvers.’
Not a typical ‘uitgaansvoer’
That it is a clubconcept, is not to say that the traditional midnight snacks in dished will get. On the contrary: just as in his restaurant marché aux grains, 13 draws Nobels aware of the healthier card. “We do see that things can be different.
