Ceo Shawn Layden of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) – World Studios, is leaving. That was Monday, it was announced via the Twitter account of PlayStation.
Layden had it since 2014 and chairman of the board of the UNION of World Studios, which is responsible for for the games, which is under the wing of a PlayStation, have been developed. Under the studio are the creators of God of War (Santa Monica Studios), and The Last of Us (Naughty Dog).
It is not clear as to why Layden leaves on the PlayStation. In the statement, it is only mentioned that it was an emotional farewell, it is.
It is with great emotion that we announce that Worldwide Studios ‘ Chairman Shawn Layden, will be departing OPERATE. His visionary leadership will be greatly missed. We wish him success in future endeavors, and we are deeply grateful for his years of service. Thanks for everything, Shawn!

Layden has worked since 1987, and for Sony, where he began as a communications assistant. In the past few years, he’s worked his way up to chairman of the board of the UNION, and the World, Studios. It is not known what he was then doing, or who is to take his place as chairman of the board.
