The welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones refuses to apologize for her much success and happiness in Hollywood.
Do not expect that Catherine Zeta-Jones is humble about her success in Hollywood at this time.
The Welsh actress unapologetically told the BRITISH Mirror Friday she had had enough of humble for her work as an actress, but also her marriage to the Douglas Hollywood dynasty.
The 48-year-old and the American actor Michael Douglas, 71, married 17 years and have two children.
“One thing I’m not humble anymore,” admitted Zeta-Jones. “I’m sick of being humble. I’m really. “So sorry I’m rich, so sorry I’m married to a movie star, so sorry I’m not as good-looking.’ No sorrys. Enough. All that is important to me now is my work.
“That is what I like and the rest of my life is a joy, because I have two beautiful children and a healthy, happy man. It’s all good, and I’m not going to be humble.”
My other half ❤️
And Zeta-Jones has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days. She told the publication of her children, 17-year-old Dylan and 15-year-old Carys, are eager to continue the family business, which was founded by their 101-year-old grandfather Kirk Douglas, a star during the golden age of Hollywood.
“I have two kids who want to be actors and I am so proud,” she said. “It’s not about fame for them. She grew up with famous people. They know what that is.
“They want the craft because that is what they love. And it makes me so proud that they get it. They understand that this is not a quick fix. They are so good. I can’t wait to see all of you in any way they are going to go because they are going to go somewhere, I tell you.”
Zeta-Jones proved she was not always so confident about her own work. But she has since accepted a parent in front of the cameras, and is happy in the pursuit of the roles that fit her age.
Waiting for the bride!!!!!! Wedding day in PA. We love you Danielle and Chris. #love
Zeta-Jones originally launched her career as an actress in 1990. At the age of 22 she was spotted by Hollywood filmmakers, who cast her opposite Antonio Banderas in 1998’s “The Mask of Zorro” and Sean Connery in 1999’s “Entrapment.”
In 2003, during the pregnancy of her daughter Zeta-Jones won an Oscar for her role as Velma in “Chicago”.
“What shaped me as an actor, more than anything, is getting older,” she explained. “I really have lost my mojo. I didn’t like it so much more. I was on a successful path, there was no crisis or whatever. And I remembered how I started so young and became successful, because I was fearless. There was no questions, wonder what people would think.
‘Somewhere in the middle I got shocked again and I started to question myself as an actor, my choices. As I grew as a woman, as a mother, as a woman, I’m not afraid anymore.”
Jenny Pellicer: Catherine Zeta-Jones is ‘a great kisser’
Fox411: Actress Jenny Pellicer is more than willing to kiss and tell about ‘Cocaine Godmother’ co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Zeta-Jones recently starred as real life of the actress Olivia de Havilland in the “Feud” as a drug baron in the TELEVISION movie “Cocaine Godmother: Griselda Blanco Story.”
“I come from a working class family in Wales and I’ve worked to get to where I am,” she said. “And for many years all of us are victims of the fact that we all have to be so humble. If you are a sports-star and won a prize, you go ‘S— yes, yes, that was the best work that I’ve done, I did it!’
“Whereas the actors are, ‘Oh I’ m so sorry, and thank you, can I say thanks?'”
The Mirror added, she is now set to star in the Queen of America,” which will be streamed on Facebook’s new video platform Facebook Look. She plays Vicki Ellis, a ruthless beauty pageant coach, in the 10-episode dark comedy.
“She is a great character and I couldn’t let this one go,” says Zeta-Jones. “I have my Tulsa, Oklahoma accent. I love doing accents. There is not a lot of Welsh rolls around, as you can imagine.”

“… I’ve said to the producers, ‘I am the only actress who said yes, right? Yes, I will do it. I’ll turn.’ I’ve always turned on. I will continue to run. Because this is the reason why I’m out of the house to [the age of] 9 to do ‘Annie’ in London.”
