Luc Castaignos may be looking for a new club. Sporting CP has the contract of the 26-year-old striker on Tuesday dissolved.
Castaignos played since the summer of 2016 for Sporting CP, that to him at the time, took over from the German Eintracht Frankfurt. He did not impress at the Portuguese club and last season is already rented out to Vitesse.
Also this season under coach Marcel Emperor could Castaignos not rely on sufficient playing time. He played only three league games, all as a substitute. The attacker came in a total of seventeen official matches for Sporting, in which he not scored.
Castaignos started his career in 2009 at Feyenoord and forced in 2011 a transfer to Internazionale. After a season in Serie A, the South-Holland in the summer of 2012 from FC Twente back in the Premier league.
Contract Castaignos would be next summer end
The former jeugdinternational of Orange played there three years and left in 2015 to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he in 22 official duels five times scored and a transfer to Sporting afdwong. His contract with the Portuguese would be next summer end.
With Bas Dost, there is still one Dutchman in the selection of Sporting. The striker is in contrast to Castaignos can be sure of a rise and came in sixteen matches played less than a dozen times to score.
