Vinny Vella, known from his role in the gangster film Casino, is Wednesday night died. The 72-year-old actor was suffering from liver cancer.
TMZ reports that Vella’s spokesperson, the news has brought. The actor is in that message described as “one of the funniest, endearing actors ever on the silver screen have excelled”.
Vella played many supporting roles, mostly in smaller films. His most famous role however was that of Artie Piscano in Martin Scorseses misdaadklassieker Casino (1995).
With the comedy movie Analyze That, he played in 2002 again, together with Robert De Niro. In addition, he was as Jimmy Petrille in a number of episodes of The Sopranos.
