Henry Ford, a notorious car thief wanted for violating his parole, was captured on Wednesday morning in the southeast part of Michigan, the authorities said.
Ford was arrested in Inkster, about 20 miles west of Detroit, around 8:15 p.m., investigators said. He led marshals on a short chase before he was stopped, and the Detroit Free Press reported.
Henry Ford was being sought by authorities for violating his parole.

Ford had escaped the law because he cut his ankle tether and will be e-mailed to check the status of the corrections department in June, the U.s. Marshals Service said
The 49-year-old has a long rap sheet filled with violence and larceny convictions, including the theft of GPS devices from cars, Detroit’s Fox 2 reported.

“In other words, in this man’s life, he is a thief. He’s stealing from vehicles, stealing vehicles, stealing tires from vehicles, which all have to do with cars – go figure – and Henry Ford, than it is to rob one of them,” U.s. Marshal Aaron Garcia, who has told the station in June and July.

Marshals, said Ford, is likely to be charged with any other crimes. He also had a warrant out for his arrest in the city of Livonia for the theft of the tapes… for a Ford.
