Car of the TU Delft is lit up completely during the race in Australia

The NunaX-car, to be built by the energy company Vattenfall, Solar Team from the technical university of Delft, in the night from Wednesday to Thursday (cet) is completely burned out during the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia. The driver was in the vehicle at the time of exit.

The car caught fire on the fifth and final day of the Challenge. Vattenfall Team was at the top of the standings and still had 300 miles to travel in order to become a champion.

How is the car, the flame was able to grasp it, it is still not known. This is going to be the student in the next few days to find out.

Delft university of technology, is the second Dutch student team that last year. On Wednesday, the fourth day, the students of the University of Twente and the Saxion University of applied sciences-made Red-E-car.

The Red E was due to a sudden heavy wind, the vehicle of the road and it blew up. The car ended up in the wall and was so damaged that the vehicle is not returned on the road as he could. The driver did not get hurt, but he had to check into the hospital.
